  14.    Are you running muFS, the Multi User File System for the Commodore
  15. Amiga? Then you surely have thought of a program providing an easy way
  16. to maintain the users and groups in your system.
  17.  
  18.    Of course such a program should have a graphical user interface
  19. which allows doing all necessary operations by a few mouse klicks or
  20. key strokes. Additionally, it should be localized i.e. speaking to you
  21. in your preferred language.
  22.  
  23.    Then `AM' is the program you want. It was written to support the
  24. system operator's work by supplying an easy-to-use user interface based
  25. on MUI (Magic User Interface) by Stefan Stuntz.
  26.  
  27.    The following gives you a quick overview on AM's facilities:

  29.    * localized (currently English, German, Netherlands, Norwegian,
  30.      Portuguêse, and Swedish catalogs)
  31.  
  32.    * needs and makes extensive use of MUI 2.0 (`muimaster.library'
  33.      version 7+)
  34.  
  35.    * supports the following operations on the muFS system files
  36.  
  37.         - create new users/groups
  38.  
  39.         - edit any characteristics of an existing user/group
  40.  
  41.         - delete users/groups
  42.  
  43.         - temporarily ban a user from the system
  44.  
  45.    * automatically creates new $HOME directories and installs default
  46.      files there by executing a user supplied script
  47.  
  48.    * checks $HOME directories (not functional yet)
  49.  
  50.    * searches muFS partitions for files with bad owner information and
  51.      changes them
